Lavender African Violet, Sunday Morning

This African violet, with its clear lavender blooms and bright yellow stamens, is a real treasure, and has been part of our household for over 30 years....

  1. Wow, 20 years, that's wonderful. I bought one at Trader Joe's yesterday morning and will try my best. My mother adored them and couldn't keep them going no matter how hard she tried. They're not easy, I'm hoping though.

I think the secret of success for most indoor plants is location, location, location.
Bright morning light from an unobstructed window facing east is absolutely the best situation for most houseplants (african violets especially).
And surprisingly african violets don't need copious amounts of watering, because they are actually quite succulent.
Pretty certain you'll be admiring flowers on your new plant for years to come...
